Story of hope- Homeschooling and exams during covid

This year with the coronovirus pandemic, schooling for our TFCM children has been difficult. Schools have been shut since April 2020 and at the time of writing this, remain closed. But there has also been some positive news. In October The Fathers Children School in Kalagi was granted a certificate of compliance in meeting the necessary regulations to open to school to pupils needing to take their exams. This means that social distancing, hand washing and strict hygiene rules have to apply but that we were considered as operating in a secure way.

As of November, all TFCM sponsored children affected by school closures will receive homeschooling materials and tuition support. This will be a process that we will continually review until a time comes that schools in Uganda reopen. TFCM would like to specifically thank its supporters for their continued support throughout what has been a difficult year, and we are glad to share this news about homeschooling support, that is only made possible through its’ sponsorship programme.
